Bright Heart Health is the first online opioid use disorder treatment program via telemedicine. Individuals meet with our medical staff and counselors via video conferencing – not in a clinic or office. We provide individuals with the highest level of care.
We prescribe and monitor medications (e.g., Suboxone) that allow individuals to stop abusing opioids without experiencing powerful drug cravings or severe withdrawal symptoms. Our counselors meet with individuals online via telemedicine, and help identify and develop strategies to deal with the issues and disorders that may have contributed to or been impacted by opioid abuse.
At Bright Heart Health, we will help prepare you to live a healthier and more productive life, free from of opioid addiction. Also available at 300 Cadman Plaza West, NY 11201
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist with extensive experience in treating substance abuse, including Suboxone for opiate use disorder. However, my practice is by no means limited to substance use treatment. I encourage clients to consider psychotherapy as well as other non-medical therapies such as yoga and mindfulness meditation. For clients receiving Suboxone, I sometimes require participation in a recovery program.
I received my MD in 2003 from Wake Forest University and completed my residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 2007. Currently, I am an attending physician at the Manhattan VA and NYU Langone and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. I see private clients at the NYU Faculty Practice at One Park Avenue (Park Ave and 33rd).
If you think I might be a good match for you, please call the number and provide some basic information to our staff. Initial consultation consists of a phone call, at no cost to you, to answer some of your questions and for me to make sure outpatient treatment is appropriate for you. After that, an initial in-person consultation can be scheduled. At this time, I don’t accept insurance, but am able to provide invoices for out-of-network reimbursement.
